Majority of the road networks in India and across the globe are asphalt pavement. Owing to the complex flow and deformation behaviour of asphalt binder under different temperatures, loading rates etc., understanding its viscoelastic response is the key for constructing strong and durable asphalt pavement structures. Rheology lab essentially works towards understanding the complex viscoelastic behaviour of asphalt binder and associated materials.
